Rafe Judkins on up about twists & turns in novel to book adaptation

The Epic Fantasy of Amazon Prime Video wheel of time, based on the books of late author Robert Jordan, has garnered rave reviews since its first show. Presenter on the series Raf Judkins has opened up about the show’s twists and turns, which weren’t originally part of the books. While some netizens claimed that the show was different from the books, fans of the series praised the small adaptations made to this book for the screen modification, calling it a “promising adaptation.”

Wheel Of Time talks about how the series is different from the books

Receiving such greatness on the show, showrunner Rafe Judkins talked about what makes the series so little different from the book. Judkins said, “In the world of wheel of time, one of its most important aspects is that men and women use different forms of the same power – essentially two halves of the same source – and that in the books, half of the male source has been corrupted. Therefore, for thousands of years now only women have been able to successfully use this kind of magic that they call guidance.”

Judkins credited the books with exploring both gender and balance in a very complex and nuanced way, and these timely themes are deeply embedded in the adaptation. Explaining the same, he said, “I think the wheel of time – ultimately when it comes to sex – is a story of balance and how we find balance between genders and how we find balance between male and female, male, female, and people find that balance within themselves as well.”

Judkins said he hopes that “book lovers and people who come to the show who haven’t read the books before will notice – in the second and third viewing – little things in the lighting and production design, the costumes, the lines the characters say, the music you hear, all of this should reveal more.” Whenever I listen to and watch it.”

The first three episodes of wheel of time It was released on Prime Video on November 19, 2021, following the weekly release of new episodes every Friday thereafter. The fictional series will only be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Prime Video.
